The feats of Mickey Mantle are immortal. To this day he holds dozens of Major League, American League and New York Yankee records. For these and for his off-the-field accomplishments literally millions of adoring fans and thousands of groups have honored The Mick in one way or another. Some of the milestones in Mickey Mantle’s baseball career are listed below with some of the honors bestowed on him after his retirement.

  • August 10 - Inducted into Baseball Hall Of Fame

1976

1985

1988

  • Mickey Mantle's Restaurant & Sports Bar opens in New York City

1991

1995

1996

  • Published "A Hero All His Life: A Memoir By the Mantle Family" by Merlyn , Mickey Jr., David, and Dan Mantle; with Mickey Herskowitz
  • Monument unveiled at Yankee Stadium. His plaque reads, "Mickey Mantle A Great Teammate" and "A magnificent Yankee who left a legacy of unequaled courage."

2002

  • New York City public school named after Mickey Mantle
